Germany number verification
To activate a phone number in Germany, the regulator requires us to verify who holds the number. This page explains the verification process and lists exactly which documents you'll need — depending on whether you order as an individual or a business.
Overview
Numbers in Germany are regulated by Bundesnetzagentur. Cliqtel handles the filing for you — you only need to provide the documents listed below.
These requirements apply to geographic (local) numbers, which is what triggers verification in Germany. Mobile, national, and toll-free numbers may have different requirements — we'll always confirm the exact documents at checkout.
How verification works
1
Choose your number and enter your details
Pick a number at checkout and tell us whether you're ordering as an individual or a business. We show the exact documents needed for that country before you pay.
2
Upload your documents
Securely upload the required documents — typically a government-issued ID and a recent proof of address. We'll guide you through each one.
3
We submit to the regulator
Cliqtel packages your documents and submits them to the national telecommunications regulator or carrier on your behalf — no forms for you to chase.
4
Your number activates
Once approved, your number is activated automatically and you're ready to make and receive calls.
