Italy number verification
To activate a phone number in Italy, the regulator requires us to verify who holds the number. This page explains the verification process and lists exactly which documents you'll need — depending on whether you order as an individual or a business.

These requirements apply to geographic (local) numbers, which is what triggers verification in Italy. Mobile, national, and toll-free numbers may have different requirements — we'll always confirm the exact documents at checkout.
How verification works

Cliqtel packages your documents and submits them to the national telecommunications regulator or carrier on your behalf — no forms for you to chase.

Your number activates
Once approved, your number is activated automatically and you're ready to make and receive calls.

Individual
- Full name, date of birth, place of birth
- Italian address (residential)
- Proof of address — recent utility bill or invoice
- Identity document — type, number, issuing authority, expiry date, plus a copy
- Codice Fiscale — Italian personal tax code

Business
- Legal representative's full name, date of birth, place of birth
- Italian business address
- Proof of address — recent utility bill or invoice
- Legal representative's identity document — type, number, issuing authority, expiry date, plus a copy
- Partita IVA — Italian company tax code
- VAT number
- Company registration certificate
- Supplemental address of the legal representative's Italian residence

Sole proprietor
- Full name, date of birth, place of birth
- Italian address (business or residential)

- VAT number
