Belgium number verification
To activate a phone number in Belgium, the regulator requires us to verify who holds the number. This page explains the verification process and lists exactly which documents you'll need — depending on whether you order as an individual or a business.
Overview
Numbers in Belgium are regulated by Institut belge des services postaux et des télécommunications (IBPT/BIPT). Cliqtel handles the filing for you — you only need to provide the documents listed below.
These requirements apply to geographic (local) numbers, which is what triggers verification in Belgium. Mobile, national, and toll-free numbers may have different requirements — we'll always confirm the exact documents at checkout.

Important: Belgian regulator effectively requires a registered business — individual orders are usually rejected. Switch to Business if you have a Belgian company.
Business
- Passport or Belgian ID copy (PDF) for the authorised representative
- Belgian company registration certificate
- Belgian VAT number
- Business address in the same region as the number's area code
- Proof of business address with evidence of local activity
Sole proprietor
- Passport or Belgian ID copy (PDF) for the authorised representative

Processing time
